Pure - Water Collision Material

This was one of the first things I learned how to do at my first Game-Studio job - We needed water, but we also had to RAZOR thin limitations for what we could employ, so water plugins, special volume boxes, particles, and post processing were things they wanted me to avoid if possible. As a result I had to basically learn how to fake the collisions and use pure math to create them. Surprisingly, it worked out pretty well, and to this day I still use it in some shape/form since it's so damn smooth and lite. Especially for temporary water situations, just being able to drag and drop it onto a mesh is extremely convenient lol -

Regardless, I figured it was about to show how it was done, the asset is actually available on the shop here:
https://www.artstation.com/marketplace/p/qpBoP/ue5-pure-material-based-water-collisions
But, you can actually follow the tutorial to recreate it for free if you want as well. The paid version of the asset is really just for those who don't want to take the time to create it themselves, or maybe don't have the confidence to do it correctly, or even just support me as an artist, but the tutorial does show step by step how to do it for free for anyone that wants to learn :)

Hope you like it, and as always hope you have a Fantastic Day-!!

All the best,

-RS-
